Magdaléna Roztočilová

Magdaléna Roztočilová (born 1989, Boskovice) is a Czech sculptor and a founding member of Studio PRÁM. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Sculpture Studio I led by Jaroslav Róna), completed placements with Krištof Kintera (UMPRUM) and Florian Reither (Gelitin), and received the AVU Studio Prize in 2011. She is based at Studio PRÁM in Prague, producing both independent installations and commissions for public space.

Her practice moves between figuration and abstraction, building on layered cuts and tactile surfaces with a strong focus on colour and material (Acrystal, concrete, glass). Conceptually, she explores corporeality, memory and symbolism—the “flame-like” concave/convex sections articulate an inner, dynamic energy. Notable projects include Delichorn in Selb (DE), the Memorial to the Victims of Communism in Boskovice and a bust of Milada Horáková for the Pilsen Region; exhibitions include National Gallery Sofia (Bodily Mind, 2023) and the Museum of the Boskovice Region (Under the Surface, 2018). In 2025 she appeared on the LOOP podcast by Prague Art Week.
